THE SPEAKER -- His Passion & Drive

For over a decade, Mike Domitrz has been inspiring college students with his hilarious sense of humor and his uncanny ability to draw hard-hitting emotion from audiences. Schools constantly rave about what a lasting impact he has with their students.

Why does Mike have such an intense passion and drive to share with college students? In 1989, he received a phone call that dramatically changed his life (a call he shares with audiences in his program). From that call, Mike began evaluating the way he and his friends were dating and hooking-up.  He realized how the current system of "making your move until the other person says, 'No'" was built on guessing and arrogance (its only about what YOU want when you make your move). 

With his background in entertainment, he created "Can I Kiss You?"^RM -- a hilaroius, interactive, and thought-provoking program that focuses on why "asking first" makes all the difference. Since 1991, Mike has been motivating and igniting change on college campuses across the country.

In addition to his speaking and writing, Mike Domitrz founded and is currently the Executive Director of The Date Safe Project.  Through interactive presentations, creative educational resources, and unique national initiatives, The Date Safe Project is committed to being the nation's leading organization for creating healthier dating environments, a clearer understanding of "consent" and for raising awareness on the many issues surrounding sexual assault.

THE AUTHOR -- His Books & Writings

As Mike was speaking throughout the country, he was continually receiving requests from students, educators, and professionals to write a great book that would share the powerful lessons he reveals in his "Can I Kiss You?" program.  People wanted a resource that was just like his presentations -- interactive, humorous, challenging, emotionally honest, and filled with skill building activities.  From that demand, Mike wrote May I Kiss You? in 2003 . . . to rave reviews.  For only $15, you can get this one-of-a-kind book after Mike's presentation on your campus (and have it personally signed).

While writing his first book, he was already planning for his second.  From the inspiration of the many audience members who he had met over the years, Mike  wanted to write a book that would demonstrate the incredible strength and courage individuals display on a daily basis.  In 2005, he brought twelve amazing people together from around the country to share their personal journeys in the critically-acclaimed book Voices of Courage.

Awards & Recognitions
While Mike has received tremendous recognition for his books, his activism, and his speaking out to raise society's awareness about sexual assault, his greatest reward is his family of four sons and his wonderful wife!  Their overwhelming support is what makes Mike's work that much more meaningful for him!!
